Plein Air on the Prairie

  • Morton Arboretum 4100 Highway 53 Lisle, IL, 60532 United States (map)

Enjoy a morning of sketching outside, or "en plein air" on the Schulenberg Prairie.  Begin with a short guided walk by naturalist and prairie steward Cindy Crosby, who will help you understand what's happening on the prairie that morning.  Then artist Karen Johnson will demonstrate how to capture the prairie with your pencil (or other medium of choice).  Enjoy plenty of time to work independently with the support of your instructors.
